2025…a year to remember
It was a weird year, to say the least. Everything outside of my photography world shifted in a major way, which definitely left me in a strange state of uncertainty and uncomfortableness. This past summer, I took a lot of extra time focusing on me, my family, and my goals. This meant a little less time behind the camera this summer, and more time learning about the importance of self-preservation, boundaries, self-respect, and unconditional love. Blah, blah, blah...sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but IYKYK. Sometimes stepping back from your craft isn’t about losing passion, but about regaining balance — allowing yourself to come back refreshed, stronger, and more inspired than before. Photography will always be part of the journey, but so is making space for growth beyond the lens.
All that aside, YES, it was a year to remember! I spent MOST of the autumn months out in places like Breckenridge, Keystone, Silverthorne and other places that reap magnificence and beauty! Seriously…watching the autumn colors appear, burst and then fall to the ground three weekends in a row, is nothing short of a master privilege! The drives out there each weekend were low traffic and high admiration for this year’s performance by Mother Nature!
So here it is, my 2025 recap of amazing families, ambitious high school seniors and some DAMN beautiful couples! Whether I was stuck in Laramie, WY with a flat tire at 10 PM in the pouring rain, or fighting the gale force winds that attack Estes Park at the WORST moments, this year was magical.!! Cheers to everyone who keeps Soulshine Photography on their speed dial - you are all my favorites! Mad love for all of you!
